After many years of research and talking to numerous breeders, we decided to purchase a bulldog from long time breeder/judge, Nancy Harrsion at La-Nan-Dor Bulldogs. We owe a great debt of gratitude to Nancy for all of the information and guidance she offered over the years.

We waited for just the right puppy to come along, and that was, Lana. La-Nan-Dor’s Putt’n On The Ritz. She was as cute as she could be and we couldn’t have asked for a better representative of the bulldog breed. She was sweet, healthy and loved everyone. We bred Lana one time to Ch. Little Pond’s Chief, owned by Dan and Liz Karshner and she produced a litter of 10 puppies! What a way to be initiated into the world of bulldog breeding. Out of that litter, came The Ritz’ Precious Amber.

We co-owned Amber with Nancy. She has been shown on a limited basis and is pointed toward her championship. Amber, like her mother was bred only one time and she too produced a litter of 10. We took Amber to Ch. Star T.’s Tigger, a beautiful red and white boy with a dynamite personality. Tigger belongs to Ann and Rick Tornatore of Star T Bulldogs. They too have become our mentors and a great source of information regarding the breed.

From the Amber x Tigger breeding we kept Lilou, The Ritz’ Sugar Baby, a beautiful red and white piebald, with a loving and sweet personality. For now, she is the light of our lives. Lilou has never met a person she does not like, and takes each day as it comes. Lilou is our current brood bitch. She has produced some exceptional puppies out of Star T.’s Buddy and Star T.’s Gambler. She was much more conservative with her litters, producing one of three puppies and another of four.

We currently co-own a Lilou x Gambler daughter, Pearl, The Ritz’ La Pelegrina, with Frank and Leah Gavlick. Pearl is a richly colored red brindle and white, with a beautiful headpiece, and a resilient attitude.
